Gift Shop at Fort Meade
Welcome to the Fort Meade gift shop and book store. The store now carries upwards of 250 titles on military, American Indian and regional history, plus tapes and CD's, patches, pins, toy soldiers and other cavalry memorabilia. It is not necessary to pay admission to access the book store or gift shop.

The Old Fort Meade Museum and Historic Research Association and Regional Training Institute of the South Dakota National Guard have cooperated in issuing a commemorative bronze coin for the museum and institute. The coin depicts the Cavalry Crossed sabers and theFort Meade Cavalry Banner with dates 1878-1944.  The collectible coins available for $1.00 each.

and The Black Hills
The Old Fort Meade Museum has available, Bob Lee book, FORT MEADE AND THE BLACK HILLS. Black Hills historian, Lee spent many years researching and writing this book which relates the history of Fort Meade from beginning to end as a United States military Post. In the process, Lee has unearthed many interesting facts: For years the home of the 7th Cavalry; the Court Martial of Major Marcus Reno; the various other units stationed here; the effect on the surrounding area; and numerous incidents and personalities associated with Fort Meade. The soft cover is available for $14.95 plus $5 for shipping or stop in and pick up your copy and save the shipping costs
